ANORA Cancer Registry

Reliable cancer data for better decisions.

Good decisions need good data

  • Evidence-based policy

Accurate incidence and outcome data to guide cancer-control programmes.

  • Better resource allocation

A clear picture of where cases are found and where services are needed.

  • Research on cancer in Africa

Governed, anonymised data for studying cancer patterns in African populations.

  • Support for clinicians

Structured records and follow-up so no patient is lost along the way.

The full patient journey, in one place

  • Patient records with duplicate detection
  • Screenings, referrals and follow-up visits
  • Diagnoses coded to international standards (ICD-O-3), with staging and biomarkers
  • Treatment, response to treatment and vital status

Health data deserves the highest care

  • Role-based access

Each user sees only what their role and facility allow.

  • Two-factor authentication

    Required for every privileged account.

  • Complete audit trail

Every access and change is recorded in an append-only log.

  • Protected data releases

Data shared for research is anonymised or pseudonymised, and small counts are suppressed.

  • Separation of duties

No single person can request, approve and release data on their own.

  • Encrypted connections

Data travels over encrypted connections between users, servers and storage.

Built for everyone in the chain

  • Registry officers & clinicians

Record cases, follow patients and manage referrals.

  • Hospitals

Facility-level reports on activity and outcomes.

  • Public-health authorities

Aggregate dashboards and statistics, never individual patient data.

  • Researchers

Access to anonymised data through governed data-access requests.
